phthsc - To the Lonely Tree

Soooooo.

This week has not been a good week. Not a good week at all. Especially since I started this about two weeks ago before everything bad happened and it forced me to take a break from working on it.

The most major thing that happened, of course, was the loss of my first and favorite cat of twelve years, Oreo. Yarn's inspiration. His death crushed me so hard that I'm still disgusted over it (I also stopped going to work and doing anything productive in general).

So, Oreo, as the original idea for Yarn (a cat-esque lackadaisical guide character with a blue and gold/hazel eye), I dedicate this picture to you.

With that out of the way...

I'm really impressed with this picture, not gonna lie. Sure, bunch of mistakes in details of stuff I'm not good at, like clothes and shading and junk, but oh well. Also, SAI nearly died trying to do one last save after I did all the color corrections and fixes and stuff and it took a half hour to save (and five extra minutes to export to .png) and it frightened me since it wasn't responding all that time. Luckily everything seems to have saved well.

So, yeah. phthsc. Sequel to You May, which STILL isn't out yet. Hey, now that I'm jobless again, maybe I'll be able to work on it again! This location is in both games, though slightly different. In short, You May has it split into two different areas, while phthsc has it put together. Man I really want to talk more about this location especially the phthsc version but for now I'll just leave my musical inspiration for this place.
